Last Thursday Dean and I headed down to London to continue with a project we'd been shooting through for work. We came down in the afternoon to recce our locations properly so we were able to get cracking first thing in the morning without any hassle. Friday also happened to be my 28th birthday. I've sort of gotten to the age now where I'm not as arsed about birthdays as I used to be, so it wasn't too much of a drag to be working on it fortunately. Plus, I'd obviously much rather be lugging a bag full of heavy camera gear around than sitting with my feet up at home in a warm bed... Ahem!
We checked over out first set of spots, then headed into Soho to grab some dinner from Billy and the Chicks, a great little chicken spot complete with someone playing a vinyl set. The Mantronix/Erik B & Rakim/Public Enemy soundtrack was an interesting backdrop to eat dinner to, but classic after classic was being dropped so I wasn't complaining!
After dinner we took a walk up towards the Tottenham Court Road area for a look at the last spot and then back to the hotel. There were some incredible looking houses around that area, lofty high ceilings were visible through paned windows that overlooked a park in the centre of the estate. One can dream.
